Newest Updates!!!

Well...I have had some new developments as of late and my life is going to get a lot more interesting. I just got offered my first full-time job after college, pending the background check, but that won't matter. I'll be working for Marchex, Inc. Click on the logo to go to their site.


They are one of the leading local search and advertising company. My position is going to be as a Search Marketing Specialist in their Digital Platform Group. The team I will be with works with national clients to help them create search engine advertising campaigns. It sounds like a great opportunity for me right after college and it should give me some great experience. I am very excited for this new position at their Eugene office.

And that's where my other new development comes in - I am going to be moving back to Eugene in the least sense of it. I have been living here for the past four year for college. Right after spring term was over, all of my possessions got moved up to Portland. But then I had to stay behind to take one more class, and during that time I stayed with my girlfriend.

Although I love the city in Portland and I hope to return there in the future, I am very excited to stay in Eugene. There were a lot of things I did not get around to accomplishing while here during college, especially when it comes to fulfilling my "foody" habits and trying out restaurants, I never got a chance to climb Spencer's Butte, etc.

So in the coming weeks I'll be posting about where I'll be moving to in this great city, posting pics of my new diggs, etc. It should be interesting!

Fantasy Football

So I've done fantasy football in the past, but to little success. I think the problem was that I joined several different leagues, sometimes actually picked my players in a live draft, but then too often would just forget about my team. At the end of the season I would check the results and find a poor result.

This year, I got one request to join a league and I made it my sole team - my baby. Although I knew the live draft was coming, I let it slip my mind and missed it. But I have certainly made up for it in transactions. I have made 7 different moves in just the first 4 weeks of the season.

So far, my solitary confinement to one team has payed off! My team is 3-1 (that loss came in week 1, and I wish I had it back). And I have a pretty solid team, here is my week 5 Roster:

As you can see, it's a pretty good team. I am very happy. But I'm not done with moves either. Aaron Rodgers is struggling, Reggie Brown had an injury and isn't quite 100%. The bench players will probably move around. I'm going to try and get some quality players before others pick them up. I don't think I'll offer any trades, I am quite satisfied with my team. But I might consider a trade if one is thrown my way.
